There was a fox that was hungry. It went to the chicken coop and said to one of the chickens:

“Hop into my mouth so I can eat you.”

“No, I’m not going to do that,” clucked the chicken and walked away bobbing its head.

I can’t change the chicken, but I can change myself, thought the fox and ran away. Later walking along the road the fox was still hungry and went to another chicken coop.

“Hop into my mouth so I can eat you,” it said to a chicken.

“No, I’m not going to do that,” clucked the chicken and walked away.

I can’t change the chicken but I can change myself, the fox thought again and ran away.

As it was getting dark, the fox was really hungry and decided to try its luck at a third chicken coop.

“Hop into my mouth so I can eat you,” it said when it got there. But the chickens had gone to sleep for the night, and there was no response.

“Hop into my mouth so I can eat you,” it said a little louder. Still no response.

“HOP INTO MY MOUTH SO I CAN EAT YOU!” it then yelled.

“WHY ARE YOU YELLING?” asked the dog that was guarding the chickens at night.
