And then came the day when she could not remember why she had wanted it more than anything else. The dream it represented had passed and maybe holding onto it had been her way of grieving. But now other dreams needed her attention, and her insistence on keeping this idea on life support took up too much energy. She had to release it. Letting it slip into its final resting place was easier than she had feared, and left her relieved and open to new thoughts. After all, it was just a house.
