“I am so tired of always coming from a place of lack,” she said to the Universe. “I never seem to have enough or what I want, and it is exhausting.”
The Universe smiled and added You Can’t Always Get What You Want by Rolling Stones to the playlist at her local radio station. The Universe can do that even when it is talk radio.
“I know, I know,” she said after she heard the song. “But then tell me what it is I need to learn.”
The Universe had already told her a million times but was happy to do it again because the Universe has infinite time and patience. It put A Course in Miracles on the display table right inside the door at the library where she came every Tuesday. It let her drive behind a car with the numbers 111 on the license plate for several miles on the freeway. It made an old friend whom she had not talked to in years send her a message because that is how the Universe rolls.
