“How was your day, honey?” Her husband asks at dinner while scrolling through his phone.
“It was actually quite goo…” she says, then stops herself. “Wait. That can’t be right?!? That’s not how I’m supposed to feel about work. I’m not stressed or frustrated or on the verge of collapse or underappreciated, and I feel like going back tomorrow…”
He stares at her in horror.
“Okay, babe…” He says, enunciating every word with care, “I need you to take a deep breath and ground yourself in misery and despair like we agreed, and we’ll forget this ever happened.”
