Even though her lips are positioned in a tight-lipped smile her stare burns me to the ground.
I have never met her before and I don’t know her but she is the poster lady for this place; toned, tan, and top-confident. She wears the right uniform — brand not generic — and did not skimp on gear.
And then I realize what I did to bring down her mighty wrath down on my miserable being. Her almost identical friend arrives. They engage in the customary no-body-touch-hug and kiss-in-air-near-cheek. The friend says:
”Aren’t you usually over there?” and shoots me a look on my yoga mat.
