The snake hisses at me as it slides across the concrete floor. There is nowhere for us to go in this prison cell. My baby sleeps on the cot. He purses his lips in his dreams. So peaceful and innocent. That will be ripped away. When I die there is no one to save him. He will be all alone. He is so small. He will watch me die. He will see me be eaten. He will not understand. He will be damaged forever. I have to do something. I see the pillow. I know what I have to do.
