A dolphin fell in love with a koala at a yoga retreat in Ojai. “Do you want to hook up?” she asked him and the koala replied “Whatever.” and they went up to his room and stayed there the rest of the weekend. Right when they got back to Venice, where they both lived, the dolphin began texting emojis to the koala. She texted hearts and winking smileys and eggplants and oranges. The koala never responded, not on Monday, not on Tuesday, certainly not on Wednesday. The dolphin, who was now very frustrated, tracked the koala’s smartphone to a dolphin-gray Cap Cod style bungalow on Milwood Avenue and after work on Thursday, she went and torched the place. As she watched the flames eat the house, the koala walked up to her and said: “Hey, what’s up? Weren’t you at that thing?”
